Abstract: The upper shaft lining of No. 1 blast furnace for smelting high TiO₂ bearing vanadic titanomagnetite is repaired by forcing and gunning methods. The results show that the gas flow distribution, the gas utilization and the economic index of blast furnace were improved after lining repair. Lining repaired by forcing process has the poor homogeneity and short service life in comparison with that by gunning process.
