The properties of casting powder used for high-speed slab continuous casting technologies developed by overseas steelmakers in the recent years and their effects on high speed casting are reviewed. Other principal technologies such as the vibration mode, optimized parameters for submerged nozzle,low overheat degree and minimized bulging etc are also investigated.
