Based on the process of ferric iron powder production with hydrochloric acid pickling solution at Cold Rolling Plant of Pangang. the effects of temperature, concentrated acid density,coal gas calorific value and composition etc. On the quality of ferric iron powder are discussed. It is considered that the quality of ferric iron powder can only be guaranteed under the conditions that the temperature is around 630~670℃, the concentrated acid density 1.3~1.4kg/m3, the coal gas calorific value 1900kJ/Nm3 and air-coal ratio 0.9~2.0. It is critical to decrease silicon content in ferric iron powder for the improvement of product quality.
