COMPARISION OF PREDICTION MODELS FOR SKIN ROLLING FORCE

  • Aimed at specially characteristics of skin pass and the consist proportion of lubricant, the study of predicting skin pass rolling force was carried out by theoretical analysis and experimental investigations with rigid, elastoplastic, complete sliding and boundary lubrication model. It was shown that the elastic deformation of rollers and steel sheet has great effect on the calculation value of rolling force when the gauge reduction was less than 5%, so these deformation should not be ignored. The calculation value of rolling force using boundary lubrication elastoplastic model is more accurate than that using boundary lubrication rigid model comparing with the experimental value.
