Based on the mechanism of fused salt chlorination and the features of Panzhihua titanium bearing slag,the process conditions and components of salt system were systematically investigated in industrial test of fused salt chlorination. The feasibility to use self-forming salt system was discussed. The potassium and sodium salts are not consumed with self-forming salt system,which is beneficial to comprehensively utilize magnesium in Panzhihua titanium bearing slag.
