The principal processes and physical metallurgy of direct connection of continuous casting-hot rolling technology is reviewed.A comparison is made between the direct connection of continuous casting-hot rolling and conventional hot rolling technology so as to investigate the reasons that cause differences in product micro-structure and mechamical properties.The production applications of the direct connection of continuous casting-hot rolling technology are proposed depending on different grades with different properties.
