    Abstract
  • In this paper,the effects of chemical composition of the steel for oil drill collar on its properties were studied and the heat treatment process were optimized.The results show that the 45CrMnMo steel,with high hardenability and excellent combined mechanical properties,is an ideal material for making large-size(8"~9")oil drill collar.
