The features manufacturing technologies and applications of the prefused granular mold powder are concerned in this article. For the purpose of developing granular mold powder used in high speed casting process, some fundamental research items necessary to be conducted are put forward while discussing the reasons why granular mold powder has not yet been widely used in china.
