SCALE-UP EXPERIMENT ON TiO₂ AND Sc₂O₃ RECOVERY FROM B.F.SLAG ATPANGANG

Methods for preparation of titanium dioxide pigment and high purity Sc₂O₃ from B.F. slag at Panzhihua I. & S. Co. are introduced.The BA01-01 titanium dioxide was produced by rational use of element interaction in acidolysis liquor,control of aluminium removal,modification of total ion concentration in titanium liquor and preparation of high activity seed crystal.Sc₂O₃ of up to 99, 99% grade was recovered from waste acid after hydrolysis using full extraction method. The technology is widely applicable.
