The effect of TiB2 on the tensile properties of in-situ synthesized TiB2 /Ferrous matrix composites was investigated by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), optical microscope (OM), scanning electron microscope (SEM) and materials testing system.The results show that the TiB2 particles are uniformly distributed in the α-Fe matrix, and it demonstrates remarkable reinforcing effect on the matrix.With the increase of TiB2 addition, the tensile strength and yield strength of the composites also increase, but the elongation decline.
