The paper describes the reactions and the slag oxide-metal element equilibrium between the slag system TiO2-CaO-MgO-SiO2-Al2O3and alloy system Ti-Si-Fe. The Pangang blast furnace TiO2 slag,ferrosilicon and lime were mixed and fed into 200kVA DC electric furnace. Reaction occured in the state of molten mixture. Ferrosilico-titanium and lower reduced TiO2 slag were obtained.Equilibrium was attained after 40mins.The basicity of the slag can be increased by moderate addition of lime. The higher Si content in the alloy favours good recovery of Ti from TiO2 slag.
