The failure fracture of the high carbon steel during drawing to ƒ0.2~ƒ0.25mm was analyzed by scanning electron microscope. The fracture shape and the inclusion composition of the fracture were analyzed respectively. The forms and the reasons of the fracture were found out by adopting the point scanning and the surface scanning of the electron probe. The results show that the brittle inclusion is the main reason of causing the fracture, and the central segregation and surface defect may also result in the fracture. The solutions of fracture are put forward.
