The present paper introduces a guide suitable for section steel production, which is built-up and mechanically composed of high temperature resistant component and matrix material with good toughness. This guide has the advantages of structural flexibility and easy on-line disassemble and mounting. The practice has shown that the service life of the inlay clad guide is 10 times longer than that of the original integral cast steel guide and a better economic and social benefit has been achieved.
