Abstract: Based on a lot of measured data,the influence of the hot return rate on the quality and Productivity of the V-Ti bearing magnetite ore sinter is investigated qualitatively and quantitatively using mathematical statistics. Optimum rate of the hot return and the associated operation variables are indicated.It is shown that the hot return rate has a marked influence on the productivity and quality of the sinter. Lowering the hot return rate can effectively improve the productivity of the sintering machine and sinter quality and reduce the energy consumption. The way to decrease the hot return rate is also discussed.
