Formation Mechanism of a Sliver-type Defect on the Surface of Hot Rolled Plate

摘要: 对Q345B热轧钢板表面长条线状缺陷进行了研究。利用金相显微镜和扫描电镜对缺陷横截面形貌、组织、成分等进行了检测。对检测结果的分析得出凹状缺陷为折皱,其源自连铸坯中的角横裂纹,形成于轧制过程。据此提出了缺陷的一种形成机理,并认为消除这种缺陷,需要避免连铸坯角横裂纹的形成。Abstract: A sliver-type lineal defect on the surface of hot-rolled Q345B plate was investigated.The morphology,structure and component of the defect's cross and longitudinal sections were analyzed by using optical microscope and SEM-EDS.The results showed that the defect with concavity is a wrinkle type defect,which is derived from the transverse corner crack of the slab and formed during the rolling process.Accordingly,a formation mechanism of the defect is proposed,and it is supposed that in order to eliminate the defect,the formation of the transverse corner crack should be prevented.
