Effect of TiB2 Addition on the Tensile Properties of In-situ Synthesized TiB2/Ferrous Matrix Composites

摘要: 采用X射线衍射 (XRD) 、光学显微镜 (OM) 、扫描电镜 (SEM) 及材料试验机等分析测试手段, 研究了TiB2含量对原位合成TiB2/Fe基复合材料的微观结构及拉伸性能的影响。试验结果表明, 增强相TiB2颗粒均匀分布于α-Fe基体中, 对基体有显著的强化效果;随着TiB2含量的增加, 复合材料抗拉和屈服强度也随之增加, 而延伸率呈下降趋势。Abstract: The effect of TiB2 on the tensile properties of in-situ synthesized TiB2 /Ferrous matrix composites was investigated by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), optical microscope (OM), scanning electron microscope (SEM) and materials testing system.The results show that the TiB2 particles are uniformly distributed in the α-Fe matrix, and it demonstrates remarkable reinforcing effect on the matrix.With the increase of TiB2 addition, the tensile strength and yield strength of the composites also increase, but the elongation decline.
