MICROSTRUCTURE ANALYSIS OF HOT METAL AND SLAG CONTAINING Ti FOR BLAST FURNACE LINING PROTECTION
-
Abstract: The composition of blast furnace (BF) slag at PZH Steel was changed with increasing of smelting intensity. The microstructure analysis of hot metal and slag containing Vanadium-Titanium show that the TiC,TiN,Ti(C,N) contents were decreased and it resulted in negative effect on BF lining protection. The TiC,TiN,Ti(C,N) containing Vanadium in the iron phase of hot metal play an important role in protecting BF lining. The V-Ti-bearing iron ore is used for BF lining protection not only result from the slag but also performance of the hot metal.
